How does a mediation programme for Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027 come into being? How does an exhibition project of this scale approach a city and its neighbourhoods? Barbara Kiolbassa, Head of Mediation at Skulptur Projekte Münster 2027, together with Laura Novosel and Josefine Scheu, curatorial trainees in the mediation department, offer insights into the development of the mediation programme for the exhibition, which in 2027 will be led for the first time by the curatorial collective What, How & for Whom / WHW. The workshop conversation explores questions and approaches to neighbourhood-oriented mediation practice. The formats currently being developed deliberately seek out the intersections between contemporary art, public space and participation in Münster’s urban society.
The evening at Saloon Arts Education offers a view into the early planning processes and invites participants to learn more about possibilities for co-creation and dialogue.
The event takes place on 08.07.2026 at 18:00 in seminar room S3 in the main building of Kunstakademie Münster. The room is located on the 3rd floor.
